Terms

The deal, in plain English.

No legalese wall. A business-to-business agreement. Last updated 29 June 2026.

The short version

You rent Luna for £69 a month — first month free, cancel any time, no contract. You run your business; Luna helps, but she's AI and can get things wrong, so you stay in the loop. We look after your data (see Privacy), and your founding price is locked for as long as you stay subscribed.

Who this is between

These terms are an agreement between you (the business using Luna) and Purple Luna — a small AI studio in Brighton, UK, run as a sole trader by Sam Erpik. By signing up for Luna or using her, you're agreeing to them.

Luna is a tool for businesses, so this is a business-to-business agreement: by signing up you're confirming you're entering it for your trade or business, not as a consumer. (If you do happen to count as a consumer, see Cancelling below — you may have extra rights and we'll honour them.)

What Luna is

Luna is an AI receptionist that lives on your business's WhatsApp. She answers customer messages, replies to common questions, and books or reschedules appointments — set up to match your prices, hours, and tone.

She's software, not a person, and she works from the setup you and we agree. She's set up to hand anything outside her job to you rather than guess. Luna is an early, fast-improving product — we'll always be straight with you about what she can and can't do.

Signing up & the founding offer

  • £69 a month — the founding price. The standard price is £99 a month for everyone who joins after the founding round.
  • Your first month is free. The earliest you'd ever pay is the start of month two.
  • If you're one of the first 10 founding businesses, your £69 is locked for as long as you stay subscribed. We honour that — we won't quietly raise it on you.
  • No contract and no minimum term. You're paying month to month.

After your free first month, your subscription renews automatically each month — £69 for founding businesses, £99 standard — and keeps running until you cancel. When our payment provider is set up, signing up authorises that recurring monthly charge, and we'll always confirm the amount and date before the first payment is ever taken.

Your founding £69 holds while your subscription stays active and unbroken. If you cancel and rejoin later, you'd come back at the price current then.

Prices are in pounds sterling. If any VAT applies, we'll show it clearly before you pay — we won't surprise you with it.

Cancelling

Cancel whenever you like — email or message us, no notice period and no cancellation fee. Luna keeps running until the end of the month you've paid for, then switches off.

We don't refund part-months as a rule — but if Luna was badly down during a month you paid for, tell us and we'll make it right with a credit or a refund. Because your first month is free and there's no lock-in, the most you're ever risking is a single month's fee.

If you happen to count as a consumer rather than a business, you may have extra statutory rights (such as a short cancellation window) — just tell us and we'll honour them.

Your side of the deal

You look after the things only you can:

  • Giving us accurate details to set Luna up — your prices, hours, services, and diary — and keeping them current.
  • Having the right to connect a WhatsApp Business account for this, and following WhatsApp's and Meta's own terms.
  • Your own relationship with your clients, and honouring the bookings Luna makes on your behalf.
  • Running your business lawfully. Luna acts on the setup you approve — she's a tool in your hands.

Using Luna fairly

Please don't use Luna to:

  • Do anything unlawful, misleading, or harmful.
  • Message people who haven't contacted you, or send spam.
  • Probe, break, overload, or otherwise misuse the service.
  • Resell Luna or pass her off as your own product.

If the service is being misused, we may suspend or end it — we'll tell you why.

Who owns what

Luna, the software behind her, and our branding stay ours (or our licensors'). While you're subscribed, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Luna for your own business — that's it. Please don't copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or rebrand her.

The other way round: your business information and your clients' messages stay yours. We don't claim any ownership over them — we only use them to run Luna for you.

Luna is AI — what that means

Luna is genuinely useful, but she's not magic. She can misunderstand, occasionally get something wrong, or be briefly unavailable. Keep an eye on what she's doing, especially in the early days, and let us know when something looks off so we can tune her.

She sticks to bookings and your business's FAQs. She does not give medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice — anything like that, she's set up to pass to you. And we don't promise specific results, like a set number of extra bookings: how Luna performs depends on your business.

Your data, and your clients' data

How we handle data is set out in our Privacy page. For the service itself: for your clients' messages, you are the data controller and we act as your processor. You're responsible for letting your own clients know an AI assistant may handle their messages, and for having a lawful basis to use their data. As your processor, we commit to:

  • Only handling your clients' data to run Luna for you, on your instructions.
  • Keeping it confidential and protecting it with sensible security.
  • Using only the sub-processors Luna needs — currently Meta / WhatsApp (carries the messages), Anthropic (drafts the replies), and our hosting, Supabase on Railway (stores them). We'll tell you before we add a new one.
  • Helping you respond if one of your clients exercises their data rights.
  • Telling you promptly if we ever discover a breach affecting your clients' data, so you can meet your own obligations.

When you cancel, we keep your conversation and booking data available for 30 days so you can ask us for an export, then we delete it from our live systems. Want it gone sooner? Just ask. If you need a formal Data Processing Agreement for your own records, email us and we'll sort one.

Keeping Luna running

We work to keep Luna up and answering, but she relies on other people's systems — WhatsApp and Meta, our AI provider, our hosting — so we can't promise she'll never have an off moment. At this founding stage there's no formal uptime guarantee.

If something breaks, tell us and we'll fix it as fast as we can. Support comes from a real person, by email or WhatsApp.

Ending things from our side

You can leave any time; so can we. We can end your subscription by giving you 30 days' notice for any reason, or straight away if you break these terms, don't pay (once billing is live), or use Luna unlawfully. If we end it and it isn't your fault, we won't charge you beyond the month you're in.

Changes to Luna

We're improving Luna all the time, so features can change. If we make a change that materially affects you, we'll tell you. If we ever had to stop offering the service, we'd give you fair notice. Your founding price stays honoured for as long as you're subscribed.

What we're responsible for

We'll always do our best for you. But, as far as the law allows: we're not liable for indirect or knock-on losses — for example a booking that was missed, or lost revenue — and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you've paid us in the twelve months before the issue.

Luna is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Because this is a business-to-business service, and as far as the law allows, we don't give implied warranties — for instance that Luna will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a purpose beyond what we've described here.

Bookings Luna makes are treated as made by you, so you're responsible for honouring them. If she makes a clear mistake, tell us and we'll help put it right — but we can't cover the cost of an appointment itself.

Nothing here limits anything that can't legally be limited — such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — and nothing affects rights you have under law that can't be excluded.

If there's a dispute

Talk to us first — most things are sorted with one honest email to hello@purpleluna.co.uk. These terms are between you and us only — no one else (including your clients) can enforce them under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. They're governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction.

When we update these terms

If we change anything material, we update this page and the “last updated” date at the top. Any material change takes effect from your next monthly renewal after we tell you — and if you're not happy with it, you can cancel before it kicks in and you won't be charged under the new terms. We'll do our best to flag changes to subscribers directly, and we don't silently backdate.
